Mexico, Part 2 – Playing in Playa!

Hello, and greetings from Savannah, Georgia. I’ll be attending another friend’s wedding and am excited to explore Savannah for the first time. I’ll tell you all about that in a couple of weeks, but we have lots more Mexico, first.

The resort we stayed at was just outside of Playa del Carmen, which I had a chance to explore briefly on two occasions.

As you can see, whether day or night time, Playa del Carmen is a fun, vibrant place. It has that beachy vibe, but There is also something festive about it. If you want to take that to a whole other level though, Cocobongo’s is a must!

This place is NUTS!! An epic night out, this is a splurge that is well-worth it. There’s great music and you will dance non-stop, plus you are surrounded by a wide array of Cirque de Soleil type dancing and entertainment. Then, every half hour or so, it’s like the best New Year’s Eve you’ve ever had, without the count down; just the crazy celebration!

Cocobongo’s is by far the most interesting and fun night out I’ve ever experienced. And I would love to go  back and spend more time in Playa del Carmen sometime.

Next time, I’ll tell you about my excursion to see some Mayan ruins.
